Abstract: The planar exponential last passage percolation model is an important integrable model in the (1+1) dimensional KPZ universality class. In the first talk, we introduce the model and its connections to the TASEP and give some examples of the known results for the different initial conditions. In the second technical talk, we go through a proof of the optimal exponent right tail estimates for the exit time for the stationary initial condition, as well as the upper and lower tail estimates for the stationary passage time.
